Surgical Technician
Job Description
Surgical Technician Description Surgical Technicians complete assessments of patient needs to provide supportive care before, during, and after procedures. Applicants should have strong interpersonal skills, be able to multi-task, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and be detailed oriented. Surgical Technicians are expected to maintain accurate and complete surgery records, and be able to exhibit teamwork characteristics in decision-making processes. Responsibilities Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Communicating with patients and determining medical problems
Providing assistance as needed in the front office
Cleaning and disinfecting surgery equipment
Operating and troubleshooting surgery and patient monitoring equipment
Assisting with inventory maintenance
Ensuring informed consent papers are completed prior to administration of sedation
Maintaining flexibility and performs other duties as required.
Experience
Two years of experience in a surgery center preferred
