Surgical Technician Job Description Job Summary Goodlife Surgery Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technician to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during procedures in an ambulatory surgery center settings. This position entails going to 2 different Surgery Centers to assist with the procedures, primarily on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Additional days may be available. One Surgery Center is located in Torrance, and one in Newport Beach. This position requires a solid understanding of pain management surgical procedures, patient care, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Knowledge of Pain Management preferred. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies. Monitor vital signs and assist with patient positioning before, during, and after surgery. Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient workflow in the operating room. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation related to surgical procedures. Analyze patient needs and respond appropriately in critical care situations. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and infection control measures. Participate in the cleaning and sterilization of surgical instruments post-procedure. Inventory Management at both surgery centers Filling out basic surgery center daily and monthly logs for accreditation management. Qualifications Previous experience as a Surgical Technician in a hospital or ambulatory surgery center is preferred. Proficient knowledge of physiology and anatomy relevant to surgical procedures. Ability to analyze situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure. Experience in Ortho a plus. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team.
