Responsibilities:
Position Overview:
The Labor & Deliver (L&D) Operating Room Technician is responsible for maintaining the L&D operating rooms, creating and maintaining a sterile field during surgical procedures, assisting with maintaining the environment and equipment in L&D, entering surgical data from the perioperative report into the electronic record, and completing patient charges for surgical patients.Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) (1) year of previous surgical technician experience OR Surgical Tech certification Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Basic computer skills Must be able to report to site within 30 minutes if on-callPreferred:
Operating Room Technician (ORT) Certification Previous hospital experience Bilingual inEnglish and Spanish Overview:
