1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an Operating Room position requiring 2 years of experience and NBSTSA certification. Details Hospital Operating Room setting 3x12-hour Day shifts, 0645-1915, Monday-Friday with no set day off Weekend call and holiday shifts required EPIC charting system used Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience 1 year of scrubbing experience required 1 year of clinical experience in an accredited hospital preferred Completion of an accredited Operating Room Technician (ORT) program, or graduation from a non-accredited surgical tech program within the past 6 months, or 2 years of scrub tech experience in hospital/military surgical services within the last 3 years NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required BLS certification (AHA) required, must not expire prior to start Active state license required if applicable DOB and last 4 of SSN required for consideration Additional Information Function as a member of the surgical team under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, reporting to Surgical Services management Maintain sterile field and ensure a safe operating room environment Recognize and address sharps and fire safety processes Prepare the operating room and instruments for surgical procedures Assist the surgeon(s) during procedures within ORT scope of practice Identify and respond appropriately to emergency situations Assist with room turnover, cleaning, and preparation for the next procedure Participate in surgical operations safety initiatives and practices Support system-wide surgical operations initiatives Returning employees must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a new travel assignment
