Job Description
We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Orthopedic Surgical Scrub Technician to join our fast-paced orthopedic surgical team. This role requires strong knowledge of orthopedic instrumentation, implants, power tools, and sterile technique. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, anticipates surgeon needs, and thrives in high-volume joint and sports medicine procedures. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile fields for orthopedic procedures Set up operating rooms with specialized orthopedic instruments, implants, and power equipment Assist surgeons during procedures including total joint replacements, arthroscopy, fracture repairs, and spine cases Operate and manage orthopedic power tools, drills, saws, and reamers Perform accurate surgical counts in accordance with policy Handle and document implants according to facility protocols Coordinate with vendor representatives for trays and implant systems Ensure proper sterilization and maintenance of complex orthopedic instrumentation Maintain compliance with infection control and safety standards Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred/required Current BLS certification Strong knowledge of orthopedic instrumentation and implant systems Ability to work efficiently in long and physically demanding procedures Excellent teamwork and communication skills Preferred Experience 1-3+ years of orthopedic surgical experience Experience with total joints (hip, knee, shoulder), trauma, and arthroscopy Familiarity with multiple orthopedic implant systems Why Join Our Orthopedic Team?
