Key Qualifications:
Completion of a recognized nursing or surgical technology program Valid, unencumbered nursing or ORT license/certification (as required by state) Previous experience in operating room settings preferred Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical procedures, and instrumentation Exceptional communication and organizational skills Ability to adapt smoothly to new environments and team settings
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare surgical rooms, assemble equipment, and verify supplies for procedures Assist surgeons and fellow healthcare professionals in a sterile environment Monitor patient safety and uphold best practice infection control measures Manage instruments and supplies during procedures, ensuring readiness and compliance Accurately document care and support seamless patient turnover between cases
