1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with pediatric CVOR experience for a 13-week hospital assignment performing complex congenital heart procedures. Details Hospital-based pediatric CVOR unit Pediatric congenital cardiac procedures performed include ASD/VSD repair, Norwood/Glenn/Fontan, TAPVR, ECMO, central shunts, arterial switch, arch reconstruction, valve repair/replacement, and heart transplantation May float to thoracic as needed based on skill set Day shift, 4x10s, with a shift start time of 6:00 AM Weekend and weekday call required; approximately 10-12 call shifts per 28-day scheduling period (cardiac call only) Required call response time is 30 minutes One major holiday coverage required Epic EMR used Requirements Pediatric CVOR experience required National certification required (NBSTSA) BLS certification required Epic EMR experience required Experience at a comparable facility size required SSN and DOB required for consideration At least 1 professional reference required for consideration Active licensure required if applicable Additional Information Prepare, maintain, and pass sterile instruments and supplies during complex congenital cardiac surgical procedures Assist with patient positioning, draping, and sterile field establishment Participate in surgical counts, time-out procedures, and infection control protocols Local candidates are accepted at the same rate
