Job Description

Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operating room, ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques and a strong work ethic. The Surgical Technologist will collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to provide optimal patient care during surgical procedures. Duties Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures by utilizing aseptic techniques. Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments, sutures, and other necessary supplies. Ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and functioning before each procedure. Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs during surgery and respond promptly. Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery. Cleaning and restocking the OR. Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures throughout all surgical procedures. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is preferred but not required. Experience in an acute care setting or ambulatory surgery center is advantageous. Proficient in suturing techniques preferred. Strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.
