Scrubs for surgical procedures and performs other duties as assigned by the registered nurse (RN).

Education:

Required•High school diploma or equivalent and graduate from an accepted course in surgical technology certification.

Experience:

Required•2+ years of experience in a similar medical setting. Basic analytical experience.

Certifications:

Required•Certification in Surgical Technology. Basic Life Support (BLS) through American Heart Association.

KSAs:

Good organizational skills. Good time management skills and ability to be self directed. Ability to demonstrate good judgement.

Job Duties:

Performs direct patient care duties, including assisting physicians during procedures. Assists in the day-to-day operations of the department. Maintains required clinical knowledge, technical skills, equipment, training, and credentials. Adapts to change in a positive constructive manner. Ensures cleanliness and/disinfection of endoscopes while maintaining quality control measures. Performs other related duties as required. Physical and Environmental Demands:
