Position Summary/ Department Summary:

We are seeking a Surgical Technologist to join the team within our Operating Room at Needham.

Key Responsibilities:

Providing sterile instruments to surgical teams during surgery. Organizing and arranging sterile instruments and supplies. Collecting and removing contaminated items at completion of cases. Assisting circulating nurses in maintaining adequate stock of sterile supplies. Working collaboratively in a family-centered peri-operative environment. Working 10-hour shifts with short-call requirements

Minimum Qualifications Experience:

1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred. Pediatric experience preferred.

License/Certifications:

A certificate from a Surgical Technologist program OR Individuals employed as surgical technologists in a surgical facility on or before July 1, 2013, OR Individuals who have completed a training program for surgical technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service. Pediatric experience preferred. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 for full-time hires with over 1 year of direct OR experience as a Surgical Tech (who have not worked here in the past 2 years). The posted pay range is Boston Children's reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting. Any base pay offer provided depends on skills, experience, education, certifications, and a variety of other job-related factors.
