35 a month 12 hours ago Qualifications Surgery assistance University teaching experience Certified Surgical Technologist Higher education teaching Associate's degree Surgical Technology Full Job Description Job Function Macomb Community College Adjunct Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning. Job Responsibilities Teach course(s) within the surgical technology or Certified Surgical technology program to students as assigned by the department. Maintain course materials in the College's Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook. Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines. Participate and actively cooperate with the department and Learning Unit to meet accreditation standards. Assist in facilitating student clinical and or lab experiences as assigned and applicable. Participate in course assessments that will accurately measure achievement of student learning outcomes as assigned. Complete training for various instructional delivery modalities as required. Maintain faculty credentials as required by the College's accrediting agencies. Attend Faculty Development Days and/or Institutional Development Days as schedule permits and applicable. Work collaboratively with Program Director and Clinical Coordinator. Participate in Learning Unit committees as schedule permits. Other duties as assigned in compliance with the AAFMCC collective bargaining agreement. Education Associate degree in Surgical Technology from an Accredited Program. Qualifications Five years of work experience related to surgical technology, minimum of 3 years of current experience as a CST in the scrub tech role and/as an instructor in surgical technology, within the last 5 years.
Certification required:
Currently holds national certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST).
