Surgical Care Technician Temp 🔍 Michigan, Petoskey New 📁 Service/Support 💼 McLaren Northern Michigan 📅 26003655 Requisition # Apply for Job Share this Job Sign Up for Job Alerts The Surgical Care Technician is responsible for assisting with the daily cleaning of OR suites, maintaining supplies and other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for surgical preparation of the skin, utilizing clippers, of patients scheduled for Cardiovascular-Thoracic procedures.
- Checks eye wash stations weekly.
- Monitors air flow of operating rooms, storage rooms, and soiled utility daily.
- Makes up stretchers, stock warmers, fills soap dispensers, masks and fills mop bucket.
- Obtains and distributes linens for department and surgical scrubs to physician and staff locker rooms. Responsible for obtaining or transporting supplies such as blood products or pathology specimens as requested. Transports case carts and trash from OR suites following cases. Helps with case turnover.
- Monitors appropriate sterilization time and temperature of equipment placed in autoclaves.
- Changes outpatient stretchers for specialty beds.
- Performs other duties consistent with purpose of job as directed.
- Picks case carts out as time allows.
- Holds elevator for ICU patients.
REQUIRED
- High school graduate or GED.
- BLS Certification.
