Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but is not limited to): Maintain strict sterile technique and ensure proper sterilization of instruments Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs Perform accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments pre- and post-procedure Support patient positioning and surgical site preparation (draping) Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, and OR team members to ensure efficient workflow Prepare and organize surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment for procedures
Qualifications:
Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers.
You must have:
Graduate of an ORT training program or on-the-job training with a minimum of 3 years' experience (surgical setting preferred). Experience in scrubbing minor and major procedures in various surgical specialties (i.e., General, Ortho, Urology, and GYN). Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current. Two to three years of experience working in an operating room setting or Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) upon hire, and maintain current Must be proficient in the following specialties within 6 months: a. Gen b. Gyn c. Urol d. Vasc e. ENT/Plastics Must be proficient in one of the following specialties within 6 months: a. Major Vascular b. Ortho c. Neuro Proficient is defined as an associate who can perform cases in that specialty independently. #LI-AM5
