Job Description

The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a leading healthcare organization to find a skilled Surgical Technologist who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced surgical environment. Schedule:
Full-Time (1.0 FTE) 10-hour shifts Variable weekend on-call rotation as required What You'll Do Responsibilities Assist surgeons during operative and invasive procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique Prepare and maintain operating rooms with the instruments, equipment, and supplies needed for each procedure Monitor and maintain inventory levels of surgical instruments and supplies Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments in accordance with infection control and hospital safety standards Handle medications under the direct supervision of the surgeon or registered nurse Participate in department meetings, ongoing training, and performance improvement initiatives Foster a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment committed to quality care What We Are Looking For Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of operating room experience or Surgical Technologist certification Ability to independently scrub a variety of surgical specialties High school diploma or GED preferred Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program preferred Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Preferred Knowledge & Skills Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and commitment to patient safety Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care Knowledge of orthopedic and spine care best practices, including: Musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Pain management Patient mobility and safety Prevention of DVT, infection, and pressure injuries Glucose management Compartment syndrome
