Full Job Description Description:
The Operating Room Technician or "scrub" technician is that health team member specifically involved with the instrumentation and technical aspects of the operative event.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments and supplies Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile environment Ensure all surgical equipment is functioning properly and ready for use Maintain accurate documentation of surgical procedures and supplies used Follow strict infection control protocols and safety standards Assist with patient positioning and comfort before and after procedures Support the surgical team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Skills and Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential Prior experience in an ambulatory surgery center or hospital setting preferred Knowledge of surgical instruments, sterilization techniques, and aseptic procedures Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Ability to work effectively in a team environment under pressure Good communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and procedures We foster a supportive and innovative work environment that values professional growth and continuous learning.
