1 Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist for an outpatient/main OR role requiring 2 years of experience with ortho, eye, and robotics case exposure. Details Level I Trauma, teaching, children's hospital, short-term acute care facility with 554 staffed beds 9 operating rooms covering eye, ENT, GYN, urology, OMF/dental, ortho, plastics, spine/pain, and vascular cases Also requires general, endo/laparoscopic, podiatry, and robotics case coverage Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM 36 hours/week with facility allowed up to 3 call-offs during the 13-week assignment On-call required for eye trauma approximately 5 times per month May be asked to float to the main OR within scope No weekend requirement Uses Cerner for charting Purple scrub color required Requirements BLS and CST certification required (license required if applicable) Minimum 2 years of outpatient surgical tech experience required Ortho and eye case experience required Robotics experience required Knowledge of surgery equipment including Centurion and Zeiss scope preferred for eye cases Experience in decontamination, case cart, crash cart, scrub, circulate, and aseptic technique Experience with fire safety, laser safety, radiation safety, sharps safety, specimen handling/labeling, sterilization/disinfection, and universal protocol procedures Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred Additional Information Perform scrub and circulating duties across a wide range of surgical specialties including gynecology, plastics, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, ENT, and endoscopic procedures Support robotic-assisted surgeries including Da Vinci Xi system cases Handle care of scopes, fiber optic equipment, electrosurgical units, and high-level disinfectant supplies Maintain compliance with infection control, PPE, and emergency management protocols First-time travelers accepted No block scheduling accommodations offered Pending license accepted for consideration RTO requests greater than 7 days require approval Locals not accepted within 100-mile radius of the facility
