PM Hours:
40 Hours/Week Job Responsibilities Follow infection control policies and procedures and demonstrate expertise in surgical scrub technique. Adhere to principles of sterile technique preoperatively and intra-operatively. Assist the surgeon with gowning, gloving, draping, and passing instruments and other related items during procedures. Anticipate the surgeon's needs for instruments, sutures, and equipment. Maintain an organized operative field and keep instruments clean and properly arranged. Maintain accurate sponge, tape, needle, dissector, and instrument counts. Prepare supplies and equipment according to preference cards and care appropriately for instruments and supplies after each case. Provide a safe surgical environment and assist with preoperative equipment checks. Assist with suturing, retracting, and suctioning under the direction of the surgeon. Handle and identify specimens according to policy. Expedite effective and efficient turnover of the operating room between cases. Take rotating call duty and perform additional responsibilities as requested. Requirements Minimum 1-2 years of recent experience as a Surgical Technologist . NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)•Required. BLS Certification•Required. Experienced with surgical procedures including orthopedics, gynecology, general surgery, podiatry, ENT, and pain management . EPIC experience. Occasional overtime may be required. Preferred Qualifications Strong experience working as an OR scrub technician. Ability to work effectively as part of the OR team and serve as a resource to other OR personnel.
Pay:
$48.00•$52.00 per hour
