You'll play a vital role in assisting with cardiovascular procedures, ensuring a smooth and sterile surgical process.
Requirements and Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or similar credential preferred Advanced knowledge of cardiovascular operating room techniques and equipment Experience assisting with intricate CVOR procedures Ability to adhere strictly to sterilization and infection control practices Strong attention to detail and ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and nurses Excellent communication and teamwork skills Reliable, punctual, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environmentSchedule:
Contract position; specific hours and shifts will be discussed during the interview processKey Responsibilities:
Prepare the CVOR suite and ensure all instruments and equipment are ready for use Assist surgeons and nurses during cardiovascular surgeries, passing instruments and supplies as needed Maintain a sterile field at all times and enforce infection prevention protocols Monitor equipment and promptly address any issues to minimize procedure delays Assist with patient positioning and ensure surgical safety standards Participate in the department's quality assurance and continuous improvement efforts Use your CVOR expertise to contribute to life-saving care and become an essential member of the surgical team.
