Job Description
Department:
Surgery Shift/schedule:
Full Time (40 hrs/wk), 7:00am-3:30pm M-F, no weekends, no holidays, call is requiredGENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Surgical Technician II assists in patient care activities and performs Surgical Technician duties in the scrub role. Works to decontaminate instruments as needed. Assists the RN with circulating duties as appropriate.QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
- Graduate of a Certified Surgical Technologist program required
- Working knowledge of medical terminology required
Licensure:
- CST or TS-C required
- BLS within 90 days of hire required
Experience:
- Operating Room scrub tech experience preferred.
