Epic Geriatrics Full Job Description Job Description SUMMARY:
seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a travel contract assignment in the Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have strong orthopedic, spine, and general surgery experience with the ability to function independently in a fast-paced community hospital surgical environment. The Surgical Tech will assist surgeons, nurses, and the surgical team by preparing operating rooms, maintaining sterile technique, handling surgical instruments, and supporting a wide range of procedures. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of OR experience , travel experience, and demonstrated competency in orthopedic and spine cases. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain sterile operating room environments Set up surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies Assist surgeons during procedures while maintaining sterile technique Anticipate surgeon needs and provide appropriate instruments and supplies Perform surgical counts according to policy Support safe patient positioning and transport Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and surgical staff Maintain compliance with hospital and infection prevention standards
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years of Operating Room/Surgical Technologist experience Current NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred/required Current BLS certification Previous travel assignment experience required Community hospital OR experience required Strong orthopedic and spine surgical experience required Any Specific Mandate skill required Experience working in a General Operating Room Experience with adult and geriatric patients Previous travel experience Community hospital experience Epic charting experience HL01
Pay:
