Sentara Norfolk General Hospital hiring a Obstetrics and Gynecology Technologist to join the High Risk Labor & Delivery team. This position is full-time 36 hours per week day shift. Education LPN diploma (required) Or Associates degree - Surgical Technologist (required) Certification/Licensure Licensed Practical Nurse (required) Or Certified Surgical Technologist (required) Experience 1 year of experience as a LPN or Surgical Technologist (required) Experience assisting with OB/GYN procedures (preferred) This position, under the guidance and direction of a Registered Nurse, is responsible for assisting in the nursing care and surgical services in the maternity services area including the provision of patient care necessary for comfort, hygiene, data collection, and documentation. Activities are based on accepted standards of operating room and obstetrical practice and are performed within the scope of education, training, and experience.
