Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (ORT) Demonstrated experience assisting in operating rooms, with knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols Proficient in surgical instrumentation, supplies, and equipment handling Effective communicator, able to collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other team members Commitment to maintaining a safe, organized, and aseptic environment at all times Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred Strong attention to detail and the ability to anticipate the needs of the surgical team

Schedule/Hours:

Flexible shift availability required, with potential rotation based on departmental needs

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare operating rooms for surgeries by ensuring equipment and instruments are sterile and ready Assist surgeons and nurses during operative procedures, passing necessary instruments and maintaining sterile fields Monitor patient safety protocols throughout procedures Maintain accurate counts of sponges, sharps, and instruments to ensure no foreign objects remain post-procedure Support post-operative cleaning and restocking of the operating room Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure patient and staff safety
