Contract Job Duties:

Prepare the operating room, delivery room, instruments, supplies, and equipment for obstetric procedures. Assist with preparation for vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, and other OB/GYN procedures. Maintain a sterile field and follow infection-control and aseptic techniques. Set up surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment according to physician and facility requirements. Assist physicians and nurses during procedures as directed. Perform surgical counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies. Clean, disinfect, and restock equipment and procedure rooms after deliveries and surgeries. Transport patients and assist with positioning and preparation for procedures. Handle specimens appropriately and ensure they are labeled and delivered according to hospital policy. Monitor and maintain inventory of obstetric and surgical supplies. Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements. Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality. Communicate effectively with nurses, physicians, anesthesia staff, and other members of the healthcare team. Provide support during emergency obstetric procedures when required
