POSITION SUMMARY

To provide quality care to patients, perform clerical and receptionist duties under the direction of a RN, in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Del Sol Medical Center .

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Demonstrates knowledge and application of basic patient care, to include activities of daily living, vital signs and intake and output. Completes and performs secretarial tasks, such as, Order Entry, filing and organizing patient charts. Practices, endorses and provides customer service skills to patients, visitors physicians and staff. Demonstrates an understanding of patient charts, physician orders and nursing orders. Organizes and communicates patient care activities to the patient and to the Registered Nurse. Maintains the unit in optimal operating condition by ordering supplies, cleaning general workstations and stocking supplies. Other duties as assigned.
