We are currently looking for a Certified Surgical Scrub Technician for our outpatient surgery center in the River Oaks area of Central Houston. We have a full-time position available. (32+ hours/week)

Job Summary:

As part of the BEC surgical team, the Scrub Tech is responsible for assisting during operative procedures.

Tasks include:

arranging and inventory sterile set-up for operation, and pass items as needed to the surgeon. Assists in preparing and moving patients including providing assistance to patient family members as they depart. Will assist in cleaning the operating room. The OR Tech is responsible as part of a team-based environment for the provision of exceptional surgical care to meet identified patient outcomes and to achieve the goals of the facility. To assist in the organization and daily function of the operating room in accordance with established federal, state, and Joint Commission regulations and Center policies and procedures. To maintain a high standard of safety & integrity for the patient and staff members.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Ideal Candidates will have High school diploma or equivalent education. Completed an accredited Surgical Technology program and certification as a surgical technologist is required.
