Surgical Technology Full Job Description Position Overview:
As a Surgical Technologist in our plastic surgery department, you will play a vital role in ensuring that surgeries are conducted smoothly and efficiently. You will work closely with plastic surgeons, nurses, and other medical staff to provide a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures. This position is part time with the possibility of adding additional days. Wage will be discussed during interview.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist the surgeon and surgical team by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies. Ensure proper sterilization and preparation of surgical instruments and equipment. Collaborate with the surgical team to anticipate needs and maintain effective communication. Assist in the cleanup and disinfection of the operating room following procedures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a surgical technology program is required. Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from a recognized accrediting body. Previous experience in plastic surgery or a surgical setting. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and techniques used in plastic surgery. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities. Proficiency in central processing systems.
