Surgical Technologist- Olympia Orthopaedic Associates Location:
Hawks Prairie, WA (Training may take place in Olympia)
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$30.24 - $48.96 per hour (Pay is determined based on years of experience) Summary of benefits: OOA covers part or all of the cost for Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Long-term Disability Insurance. Employees are eligible to participate in a 401k plan with company matching. Flex spending plans, uniform allowances, and an Employee Assistance Program available as well. New, full-time staff will accrue a minimum of 17 days of paid time off per year. Olympia Orthopaedics is a drug-free, alcohol-free, and smoke-free workplace. If offered employment, passage of background screen and pre-employment drug screen is required. Please note nicotine levels are included in testing.
Surgical Technologist Summary:
As a core member of our Surgical Team, you will be responsible for setting up the operating room including the set up of sterile tables and instruments for surgery. This also includes passing instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeon s assistants, holding retractors, cutting sutures, and keeping count of supplies. Other duties include preparing and transporting patients for surgery, adjusting lights and equipment, and communicating needs of the room or department. Our team supports your success and growth through monthly trainings and education, along with daily check ins on the needs of the department.
Surgical Technologist Requirements:
Successful completion of a Surgical Technologist Program Current Surgical Technologist Registration or the ability to obtain one Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain one within 90 days from the start of employment. Ability to work well under pressure, detail oriented, with excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills.
