Job Overview:
As a Telemetry Technician, you will provide physicians and nurses with data for use in the diagnosis and the planning of interventions related to cardiac conditions.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Graduate Completion of dysrhythmia course Enrolled in an Accredited Nursing program is helpful
REQUIREMENTS 12
Lead ECG competency Previous clinical/patient care experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
Certifications and Licenses Required (if applicable): Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required. Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions): Full-time Night 37.5
Essential Functions:
Conducts cardiac monitoring on adolescent to geriatric patients, including application of monitors, rhythm interpretation, and performance of 12 lead EKG Participates in hospital quality improvement activities Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to determine each patient's age-specific needs and provide age specific treatment
