• Job Summary and Qualifications
• Views patient monitors on a continual basis and informs nursing staff of any significant changes in activity immediately; accesses assistance in responding to noted changes in patients and others exhibiting signs of a heart attack, stroke or respiratory distress.
• Requires basic understanding of dysrythmias. Mastery of the English language and requires knowledge, ability, and judgment to:
• + •Make critical rhythm interpretations•+ •Communicate rhythm changes to staff nurse or charge nurse.
• + •Numerical ability to make simple arithmetic calculations•+ •Apply basic understanding of the function and inter-relationship of each hospital department.
• + •Organize and complete work assigned•+ •Anticipate the needs of physicians, nurses and other hospital departments•+ •Communicate the needs of patients, families and visitors in a professional and timely manner recognizing life threatening signs and symptoms of heart attack, stroke and respiratory distress.
• What qualifications you will need:
