1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a Free-Standing Emergency Department requiring 3+ years experience and Ultrasound certification. Details Free-Standing Emergency Department (FSED) setting providing services to inpatients and outpatients Ultrasound unit within the Radiology department Monday-Friday shift from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM Call requirements typically 1-2 times per week Responsibilities include abdominal, pelvic (gynecological & obstetrical), and transvaginal sonograms Proficient scanning of small parts including thyroid, breast, and scrotum Performs ultrasound-guided biopsies, drainage, thoracentesis, paracentesis, and aspirations Requirements Minimum of 3 years experience as an Ultrasound Technologist Current BLS certification required Graduate of an accredited AMA school Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) State license required if applicable Certifications must not expire within the first 30 days of assignment start No gaps in work history equaling 90 days or more in the past 12 months Additional Information Provides diagnostic services under the direction of a Radiologist and departmental protocols Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will not be considered local for this assignment Not eligible for candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years RTO requests must be less than 1 week
