Job Description

REG ELIG ULTRASOUND TECH - IMAGING CENTER JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education Minimum of an Associate degree in an allied health field required. Candidate must meet requirements for registry by the Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers. If registry eligible, the ARDMS must be taken and passed within 1 year of employment. Experience Two years experience preferred. Sufficient working knowledge of the different phases of ultrasound including the operation of assigned equipment. Physical Normal hospital environment. Close eye work. Hearing of normal and soft tones. Occasional exposure to chemical hazards. Operates ultrasound machine, computer, and printers. Continuous standing and walking, frequent bending and stooping, Lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs., pushing/pulling up to 300 lbs. This is a safety sensitive position. JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of a radiologist and the supervision of the department manager/PSM, performs a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, ingenuity, and initiative.
