Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Ultrasound Diagnostic Tech, you will play a critical role in our Imaging Services department, performing a diverse range of entry-level General, OB, and Vascular ultrasound procedures. Every day you will perform ultrasound exams tailored to patient anatomy and habitus, meticulously preparing patients for interventional procedures, and assisting Radiologists and other Physicians during exams requiring their presence. To be successful in this role, you will hold a High School Diploma or GED and have completed a hospital-based ultrasound training program. You must also possess a current Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) certification and be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Performs exams based on patient anatomy and habitus. Assists Radiologists and other Physicians in the performance of exams and procedures that require a physician. Performs exams in all areas of the hospital such as portables on units, portables in ED and portables in OR. Prepares patients for interventional procedures. Job Requirements Required High School Graduate/GED less than 1 year Six months experience performing ultrasound in a clinical setting either training or working Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer American Heart Association Basic Life Support - CPR Preferred Associates Other Higher college level degree
