Qualifications & Experience:
Completion of an accredited ultrasound/sonography program Current ARDMS certification in General Ultrasound Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a clinical ultrasound setting Strong proficiency in operating ultrasound equipment and conducting a wide range of general sonography studies Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy under pressure Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding quality standards
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general ultrasound examinations following established protocols and physician orders Prepare, explain procedures, and position patients for optimal imaging results Analyze sonographic data and provide preliminary findings to radiologists and medical staff Ensure proper operation and maintenance of imaging equipment, reporting malfunctions as needed Maintain detailed records and accurate documentation of procedures performed Foster a safe, comfortable environment for patients throughout their diagnostic experience Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to support patient diagnosis and treatment This role is designed for professionals who are passionate about delivering excellent patient care and producing reliable diagnostic images essential for clinical decision-making.
