We serve a diverse patient population and emphasize accurate diagnostic work, attentive patient care, and teamwork. We are seeking a dependable vascular sonographer who enjoys learning and is comfortable contributing to both patient care and daily practice operations. Experienced sonographers and early-career candidates with a strong foundation and willingness to train are welcome to apply. About the Role This position combines ultrasound, medical assistant, and administrative responsibilities. It is not an ultrasound-only position. We do not schedule our technologists to scan continuously for eight hours a day. The workday includes ultrasound examinations, procedure assistance, patient care support, documentation, and back-office duties. The balance varies with the patient schedule. Administrative and MA duties are an expected, regular part of this position. We are looking for someone who appreciates a varied workday and takes ownership of assigned responsibilities. Ultrasound Responsibilities Perform venous duplex examinations, including reflux mapping, DVT evaluations, and post-treatment follow-up studies. Perform arterial duplex and other noninvasive vascular testing appropriate to demonstrated competency and practice protocols. Accurately obtain and document images, measurements, waveforms, and preliminary technical findings for physician review. Recognize technical limitations and promptly communicate urgent or unexpected findings to the treating clinician. Assist with office-based vein procedures and wound care procedures. Clean and maintain ultrasound equipment and examination areas. Participate in image review, continuing education, protocol updates, and quality improvement. Develop additional vascular testing skills through training and competency assessment. Medical Assistant and Clinical Support Responsibilities Room patients, obtain vital signs, and update medical histories and medication lists. Prepare patients, supplies, and examination and procedure rooms. Assist the physician and physician assistant during vein procedures and wound care visits. Support clinical documentation and communicate clinician-approved patient instructions. Clean and restock rooms and help maintain an organized patient flow. Clinical support duties are performed within applicable scope, training, and supervision requirements. Administrative and Back-Office Responsibilities Verify insurance eligibility and benefits. Assist with prior authorizations, referrals, and medical record requests. Help with scheduling, patient follow-up calls, and care coordination. Complete data entry, documentation, supply tracking, and assigned invoice-related tasks. Assist with patient outreach, referral-office communication, and practice marketing activities. Track assigned tasks through completion and communicate outstanding issues to the team. Qualifications Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography or vascular ultrasound training program. Current RVT or RVS credential preferred; candidates actively pursuing vascular credentials may be considered. A solid foundation in vascular anatomy, ultrasound principles, and venous duplex imaging. Independent reflux mapping and arterial duplex experience strongly preferred. Candidates requiring additional training may be considered based on their foundational skills and readiness to learn. Strong typing and computer skills required , including accurate and efficient entry of ultrasound findings, clinical documentation, and administrative information into the electronic medical record. Reliable attendance, attention to detail, and clear communication. Willingness to accept feedback, learn new protocols, and contribute to quality improvement. Comfort performing the administrative and medical assistant duties described above. Korean or Spanish proficiency strongly preferred to support communication with our patient population, but not required. Compensation and Benefits $35-$55 per hour , depending on experience, credentials, and demonstrated vascular ultrasound competency. Candidates requiring additional training may be considered toward the lower end of the range. Candidates with strong independent venous and arterial testing skills may qualify toward the upper end.
