1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist/Sonographer with 2+ years of recent experience and dual specialty certifications for a general ultrasound assignment. Details General ultrasound unit within a radiology/cardiology department 5x8 hour day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 13-week assignment Requirements ARDMS certification required upon hire BLS certification required upon hire Must possess two of the following: Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), Fetal Echocardiography (FE), OB/GYN, Pediatric Sonography (PS), or Registered Vascular Technician (RVT) License required if applicable Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or possession of ARDMS certification evidencing program completion Minimum of 2 years of recent relevant sonography experience Intermediate knowledge of diagnostic sonography principles, procedures, views, and equipment including trauma and emergency response experience Solid understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and healthcare information systems including RIS, LIS, EHR, EPIC, and PACS Strong written and verbal communication skills for explaining sensitive information to diverse audiences Additional Information Performs routine and specialized sonography procedures of moderate complexity to produce quality diagnostic images Works independently while exercising sound clinical judgment on challenging diagnostic cases May orient other staff or perform specific specialized procedures Builds rapport with patients, families, and healthcare providers through effective communication and attentive care Adheres to all applicable regulations and policies to ensure patient privacy and safety Accepts local candidates at the local rate 50-mile radius rule applies Returning travelers must have been separated for at least 1 year before returning Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract with only 1 holiday request permitted per contract
