Travel Echo Technician in Glenwood Springs, CO

Category Imaging - Echo Job Type Travel Join an opportunity as a cardiovascular sonographer specializing in echocardiography to deliver exceptional imaging services in a variety of clinical settings. This travel position offers the chance to work in a dynamic hospital environment, including inpatient units, outpatient clinics, emergency rooms, and cath labs.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (TTE), transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), contrast studies (Optison/Definity), bubble studies, exercise and dobutamine stress echos. Utilize advanced imaging equipment such as Philips EPIC, Philips CX50, Siemens ACUSON SC2000, and Siemens Origin. Collaborate closely with clinical teams to provide accurate and timely diagnostic information. Use EMR systems including Athena, Meditech, and PICOM to manage patient data. Participate in evening, night, and weekend call rotations as scheduled. Adhere to infection control policies including mandatory flu vaccination.

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) credential. Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience scanning with preferred equipment brands and familiarity with various echo modalities. Left-handed scanner preferred. Additional pediatric TTE experience is a plus. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively within a team. Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel role.
