JOB DESCRIPTION
We invite you to come join our dynamic practice as a Maternal Fetal Medicine Ultrasound Technologist. This is a full-time opportunity located in Lewes, DE. We are currently searching for an experienced registered sonographer. DCMFM is an AIUM accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine practice providing services in both a hospital and private office settings. The high risk OB Sonographer has a commitment to providing high-quality diagnostic fetal ultrasounds, fetal echocardiography and GYN ultrasound scans. The diagnostic OB Sonographer works independently and with other members of the healthcare team to provide a comprehensive examination in an outpatient setting.
JOB REQUIREMENTS KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
Possess a high school diploma or GED. Completion of a certified program in Ultrasonography. Significant experience in OB/GYN scanning. Fetal echocardiography experience preferred. Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills. Skilled in operating ultrasound equipment. Ability to react calmly and effectively in daily situations. Knowledge of common safety hazards and precautions to establish a safe work environment.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Satisfactory completion of at least two (2) years in Allied Health Education. Maintain or eligible for registry certification with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). ARDMS registry must be obtained within first year of employment. Provide evidence of continuing education credits to fulfill accreditation requirements.
