Job Summary and Qualifications Sonographer / Ultrasound Technologist At HCA West Florida, we are committed to creating a world-class experience for each patient. Your tasks and responsibilities as an Ultrasound Technologist (or Sonographer) include but are not limited to:

• Prepare and position patients and equipment in a safe, competent manner
• Accurately perform sonogram examinations in a timely manner
• Be responsible for recording and processing ultrasound images
• Maintain statistical results for quality improvement
• Maintain proactive and effective communication with radiologists regarding any unusual clinical findings, history, and/or test results Qualifications
• A two-year Allied Health degree or successful completion of a 12-month CAAHEP approved program
• Valid ARDMS certification; RVT (Registered Vascular Tech) or

ARDMS AB

(abdomen specialty) or

ARDMS OB/GYN

within 1 year

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• 1-3 years previous experience as an Ultrasound Technologist
