Job Summary The OB/GYN Sonographer will perform high-quality obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations in collaboration with our OB/GYN providers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to working with pregnant patients.

Responsibilities:

Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols. Perform first-, second-, and third-trimester obstetric ultrasounds. Obtain accurate fetal measurements, including CRL, BPD, HC, AC, FL, and estimated fetal weight. Evaluate fetal presentation, fetal heart rate, amniotic fluid, placenta, and other relevant anatomy. Perform limited and comprehensive pelvic/gynecologic ultrasound examinations as ordered. Obtain appropriate images and documentation for provider interpretation. Recognize and appropriately document abnormal or concerning findings and promptly communicate findings to the provider. Maintain accurate and complete ultrasound records. Ensure equipment is properly maintained and report technical issues as needed. Follow HIPAA, infection-control, safety, and clinic policies. Provide compassionate, respectful, and culturally sensitive care to patients. Maintain a professional and supportive environment for pregnant patients and their families.

Qualifications:

ARDMS certification in OB/GYN (RDMS) preferred/required. Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program. Current BLS certification. Experience performing obstetric ultrasound examinations. Strong knowledge of OB/GYN anatomy, fetal development, and ultrasound techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other clinical staff. Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation. Previous experience in a prenatal or OB/GYN setting preferred.

Preferred Experience:

Experience in a high-volume OB/GYN or prenatal clinic. Experience with first-trimester dating and viability scans. Experience with anatomy surveys, biophysical profiles and growth ultrasounds. Experience identifying and documenting common obstetric findings. Experience working with underserved or diverse patient populations.
