Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Ultrasound Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge of medical imaging techniques, patient care, and diagnostic procedures. As an Ultrasound Technician, you will operate advanced imaging equipment to produce accurate diagnostic images, support various specialties including obstetrics, gynecology, cardiology, and vascular diagnostics, and ensure exceptional patient experiences through compassionate care and professional expertise. Duties Operate ultrasound equipment to perform diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple specialties such as prenatal, abdominal, breast, gynecological, echocardiography, and vascular ultrasound imaging. Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, ensuring comfort, and maintaining proper aseptic techniques to prevent infection. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to obtain necessary images for diagnosis and treatment planning. Maintain accurate documentation of procedures within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems and utilize picture archiving and communication systems (PACS) for image storage and retrieval. Ensure all imaging equipment is properly calibrated, maintained, and operated according to safety standards. Demonstrate thorough knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to ultrasound diagnostics. Adhere strictly to infection control protocols and uphold high standards of patient care throughout all procedures. Skills Proficiency in operating various medical imaging equipment including ultrasound machines for vascular, obstetric, gynecological, abdominal, breast, and echocardiography procedures. Strong understanding of women's health diagnostics and reproductive patient care. Knowledge of vascular technology diagnostics and the ability to perform vascular ultrasound imaging accurately. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and PACS for efficient documentation and image management. Excellent communication skills to explain procedures clearly and provide compassionate patient care. Ability to interpret medical terminology accurately while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Experience in maintaining aseptic technique and adhering to safety protocols during all diagnostic procedures.
