When you join, you'll receive: License reimbursement to support maintenance and renewal of credentials Referral programme with rewards for recommending healthcare professionals Comprehensive health insurance options Certification reimbursement for additional professional qualifications Reliable weekly pay Key Responsibilities of the Echo Technician Perform diagnostic echocardiography examinations according to physician orders and established protocols Obtain high-quality cardiac ultrasound images and measurements for interpretation by physicians Prepare and position patients appropriately for echocardiography procedures Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively Perform a range of echocardiographic studies while ensuring accurate image acquisition Monitor patients throughout examinations and respond appropriately to any concerns Maintain accurate patient records, imaging documentation, and examination details Follow infection control, patient safety, and departmental quality standards Explain procedures clearly to patients and provide reassurance throughout examinations Collaborate with cardiologists, physicians, nurses, and other members of the cardiac care team Requirements of the Echo Technician Role Current BLS certification Current RDCS or RCS certification Minimum 2 years of recent Echo Technician experience Strong knowledge of echocardiography procedures, cardiac anatomy, and ultrasound technology Excellent technical, communication, and patient care skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment Urbana, IL - A Great Place to Work and Live Located in east-central Illinois, Urbana offers a welcoming community with a vibrant cultural scene, parks, local restaurants, and plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation.
