Qualifications:
Current certification as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) or equivalent Demonstrated experience with general ultrasound imaging procedures Proficiency with imaging equipment and digital record-keeping systems Knowledge of patient safety, infection control, and ethical standards in diagnostic imaging Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients and medical staff Ability to adapt to fast-paced, dynamic healthcare environments
Key Responsibilities:
Perform high-quality general ultrasound examinations according to physician orders and facility protocols Ensure patient comfort and address questions prior to and during each procedure Accurately capture, process, and document diagnostic images Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other healthcare professionals for optimal patient outcomes Maintain cleanliness and functionality of ultrasound equipment, adhering to safety protocols Keep clear and thorough records in compliance with facility and regulatory standards
