Essential Functions Patient & Exam Verification:
Confirm patient identity using two identifiers (full name and DOB). Review exam orders and clinical history. Prepare and clean equipment and rooms; restock supplies as needed.Patient Care & Collaboration:
Clearly explain procedures, considering patient comfort and confidentiality. Collaborate with leadership to ensure efficient workflow and scanner use. Provide care within the scope of training and licensure.Department & On-Call Coverage:
Participate in on-call, holiday, and flexible shift coverage as needed.Clinical Performance:
Perform ultrasound exams and assist with training staff and students. Operate equipment and follow protocols. Complete additional duties as assigned.Research & Quality Initiatives:
Support and participate in departmental research, QA, and improvement projects. Conduct research-related ultrasound exams as required. Qualifications Education Other Certificate/Diploma Diagnostic Imaging required or Trade/Technical/Vocational Diploma Diagnostic Medical Sonographer required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer- required Sonography [R.T.(S)(ARRT)]
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred Experience Ultrasound Technologist minimum of 1 year of OB experience
