Job Description

Schedule/Hours:
Travel position; specific shift details to be provided upon interview
Desired Qualifications:
Graduation from an AMA-accredited Ultrasound Program At least 12 months of full-time clinical ultrasound experience Current ARDMS certification (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) Prior experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) department Competency with Abdomen, OB/GYN, Pediatric, Basic Vascular, and small parts ultrasound exams
Responsibilities:
Thoroughly review patient histories and test results for accurate exam interpretation Perform ultrasound studies and assist with interventional procedures as needed Ensure patient safety using universal precautions and adherence to department guidelines Clearly explain procedures to patients while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism Operate and maintain all assigned imaging equipment, promptly reporting malfunctions Rotate to various divisions and off-site clinics as assigned Complete necessary paperwork, PACS, RIS, and reporting functions Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and ensure equipment readiness Participate in ongoing education to stay current with imaging trends and required CE credits Safely transport and transfer patients per established protocols Exercise independent judgment during patient exams Perform additional related duties as assigned
