Responsibilities Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including obstetrics, gynecology, and maternal-fetal medicine. Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process clearly and ensuring their comfort and safety. Operate ultrasound equipment with precision, adhering to aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment. Analyze images for clarity and accuracy, making adjustments as necessary to obtain optimal results. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to interpret findings and provide comprehensive reports. Maintain detailed documentation of procedures, patient information, and imaging results in accordance with medical standards. Ensure compliance with safety protocols, medical terminology standards, and regulatory guidelines at all times. Stay current with advancements in medical imaging technology and sonography practices through ongoing education. Skills Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to diagnostic imaging. Proficiency in operating sonography equipment and understanding of diagnostic radiology principles. Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members. Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently to prevent infection during procedures. Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine practices and obstetric ultrasound protocols. Excellent patient care skills, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and attentiveness. Solid understanding of medical imaging standards and the ability to adapt techniques based on individual patient needs.
