1 Description American Traveler is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist / Sonographer specializing in Maternal Fetal Medicine to perform high-risk OB and perinatal ultrasound studies in an outpatient clinic setting. Details Outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine/Perinatal clinic setting 1:1 patient ratio Day shifts, 9 shifts per two-week period, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM No weekend requirement and no on-call requirement Will float within scope to perinatal clinics including Woodbury, Edina, and Mercy, with minimal rotation to United and ANW clinics Uses Philips EPIQ Elite and GE Voluson Expert 22 ultrasound machines Charting in Epic (Excellian) Performs Maternal Fetal Medicine diagnostics including TTTS surveillance, fetal anomalies, fetal Doppler (MCA, UAR, DV), fetal echo, amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling, and placenta previa/vasa previa/accreta evaluations Requirements Minimum 1 year of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine/Perinatal ultrasound ARDMS and
ARDMS OB/GYN
certification required;
ARDMS FE
certification preferred License required if applicable Perinatal experience preferred though first-time travelers are accepted Proficiency with OB/GYN ultrasound across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimesters Skilled in fetal anatomical survey, amniotic fluid index, nuchal translucency screening, umbilical cord Doppler, and multiple pregnancy evaluations Experience with fetal measurements including abdominal circumference, bone lengths, and cerebellum/ventricles assessment Experience with amniocentesis and ultrasound-guided biopsy/fine needle aspiration procedures Familiarity with transvaginal and renal/pelvis ultrasound Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE protocols Epic/Excellian charting experience preferred Additional Information Perform high-risk OB and Maternal Fetal Medicine ultrasound studies including fetal anatomical surveys, fetal echo, and Doppler studies Grey scrub color required Free parking available in unrestricted spaces Accepts local candidates for radiology positions only; other positions require candidates to live 100+ miles from the clinic Ideally no more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment Returning staff must have a gap of at least 3 months since their last shift worked as permanent staff or per diem First-time travelers accepted
