Saint Luke's Hospital of Kansas City is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this on-site role, you will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations, prepare and position patients, and collaborate closely with radiologists and interdisciplinary clinicians to support accurate diagnoses and impactful patient outcomes. Responsibilities Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams following physician orders and departmental protocols Prepare and position patients, explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper image quality and documentation Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to support accurate diagnoses and care plans Accurately document findings, complete reports, and manage patient records in the EMR system Adhere to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards within the imaging department Assist in training or mentoring new technologists and students as needed Participate in quality assurance, continuous improvement, and departmental initiatives Required Skills Diagnostic medical sonography Abdominal ultrasound imaging Obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound Vascular ultrasound techniques Doppler imaging Patient positioning and preparation PACS and EMR systems Infection control and safety protocols Anatomy and physiology knowledge Radiology documentation and reporting
