Job Description

Ultrasound Technologist - General Job Summary Performs general diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric and gynecologic, small parts and basic vascular studies. Acquires and documents images and preliminary findings for radiologist interpretation. Assists the radiologist with ultrasound-guided procedures and maintains equipment and departmental records. Education & Experience Graduate of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program: Required General ultrasound experience across abdominal, obstetric/gynecologic and vascular studies: Required Licenses & Certifications Registration with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS): Required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required Key Responsibilities Perform abdominal, obstetric and gynecologic, small parts and basic vascular ultrasound examinations. Acquire diagnostic-quality images and document preliminary findings for the radiologist. Assist the radiologist with ultrasound-guided procedures such as biopsies and aspirations. Review requisitions for consistency with the clinical indication and verify patient identity. Maintain accurate patient records and transfer images to PACS. Perform routine equipment quality control and participate in on-call coverage as scheduled. #Workwolf
