Category Imaging - Ultrasound General Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is now available for an experienced professional skilled in Ultrasound General imaging. This role primarily focuses on providing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services and requires the ability to work independently, particularly in emergency department and inpatient settings. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights for a total of 36 hours per week.
Key Schedule Details:
12-hour night shifts: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Friday through Sunday Weekend-focused position; anticipate regular weekend coverage Holiday coverage required for approximately 75% of holidays Minimal call requirements, with on-call and call-back generally not expected Floating may be required between the main hospital and the outpatient imaging center
Qualifications and Experience:
Demonstrated proficiency in Imaging - Ultrasound General Credentialed UltraSound Tech/Sonographer with relevant certifications Comfortable performing independently, especially in ED and inpatient environments Adaptable and able to float between multiple facilities as needed Strong communication skills and dedication to patient-centered care
Role Responsibilities:
Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures as ordered, maintaining accuracy and image quality Interact with patients to gather medical histories and explain procedures Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and adherence to safety guidelines Collaborate with healthcare teams to interpret imaging results for patient treatment plans Maintain timely and accurate documentation of imaging procedures Adapt smoothly to variable workflow needs, including floating between sites This contract position offers a unique chance to make a tangible impact with a flexible night schedule in a supportive clinical environment.
