1 Description American Traveler is hiring a Cardiovascular Sonographer with 1+ years of echocardiogram experience for a hospital-based cardiology unit. Details Work in a hospital-based cardiovascular unit performing echocardiography and vascular sonography studies Day shift schedule from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM 40 hours per week across 5 days No on-call, weekend, or holiday requirements Requirements 1+ years of echocardiogram experience required, vascular sonography experience a plus Accredited Associate's Degree in Sonography, Radiology, or related field, or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program Current BLS certification required RDCS certification through ARDMS, or RCS, ACS, or RCCS certification through CCI required License required if applicable Additional Information Perform pre- and post-procedure patient assessment and care, including emergency cardiac care and CPR as needed Assist with post-procedure patient transport when required Calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment daily, performing quality assurance monitoring Generate ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures Monitor and record patient information, manage report storage and data systems, and prepare charge entry data Prepare procedure rooms and equipment for daily use with efficient turnover between procedures May include staff training and education responsibilities
